About Ron

A dedicated juvenile probation officer with over 12 years of experience, committed to early intervention and youth transformation.

My Mission

After 12 years as a juvenile probation officer—specializing in cases involving juvenile sex offenders—I know exactly what it looks like when red flags are missed. I've worked with kids who were labeled too late, and families who didn't know what signs to look for until everything had already spiraled.

Youth Pivot was built to change that outcome.

This platform gives parents, educators, and youth professionals practical tools to spot at-risk behavior early—especially the subtle warning signs that often lead to sexual misconduct, chronic defiance, or deeper justice system involvement.

Our mission is clear: to empower the adults who care with the knowledge, language, and confidence to intervene before things escalate.

Whether you're parenting a troubled teen, supporting a child with behavioral red flags, or trying to prevent juvenile justice involvement, you don't have to do it blind.

Early intervention is possible. And it can change everything.

My Experience

Built from two worlds—courtroom and basketball court.

I'm not just another voice in youth justice. I've lived two lives most people never touch.

One as a Division II and pro basketball player, grinding under pressure, earning respect in locker rooms around the world. The other as a juvenile probation officer, walking into homes, schools, and courtrooms where kids were hanging by a thread—and helping them pull themselves back.

That dual path gave me something rare: the ability to connect with kids the system writes off, and the discipline to teach them how to rewrite their story.

Juvenile Detention Officer

2013 – 2014

Inside the walls, everything is high-alert. I worked face-to-face with youth in crisis under constant stress, where survival meant staying mentally sharp and emotionally grounded. It's where I learned how shame, fear, and powerlessness drive behavior—and how de-escalation isn't a tactic, it's a mindset.

2015 – Present

12+ years in the trenches, specializing in juvenile sex offenders and high-risk youth. I've helped families recover from the unimaginable and teens find a path back after serious offenses. This isn't theory—it's real-life crisis work, done with compassion and results.

Specialty: Early intervention, trauma-responsive systems, family-led rehabilitation.

My Philosophy

"Every young person has the potential for positive change. The key is recognizing the warning signs early and providing the right support at the right time."

"Prevention is always better than intervention, and intervention is always better than incarceration."
